Goodbye/Hello!!

Hey everyone!

So today I'm coming to you with a bit of bittersweet news.
I thought a lot about this and reached a conclusion that makes me half really exited, half pretty nostalgic.

You're probably already screaming at me to tell what it is, so I will: I've decided to stop posting in this blog.
And before you click the little cross up there, wait a sec!! I'm not going to stop blogging! And I'm not going to stop blogging about fashion and beauty.

As you may know, me and my best friend Cate created a blog a few months back called It's a Fashionable Life. It is a lifestyle blog, where we write about fashion, beauty, food, travelling... pretty much everything!!

And since we post about fashion and beauty a lot, and lots of those posts are by me, I pretty much had two blogs about the same thing. I was always coming up with double the ideas about the same subjects. And I also have my personal texts and my random stuff blog, plus my two YouTube channels. So it was a lot!!
And it didn't make sense that I was doing the same type of posts in two different blogs, plus doing beauty/fashion videos on YouTube!

So, after lots of thinking (cause honestly this blog has been my baby for so long and I loved every moment of creating and working on it), I decided that I should focus my energy on my new project.

I'm very thankful for the time I spent writing here. I've always loved blogging, and this blog has been one of my biggest passions for a good time now.

Maybe someday I'll decide to come back and write here, but for the time being I figured it didn't make too much sense and it was too much work for just one person.

But hey, you still get to read my posts every Wednesday anyway!! Only now, you'll read them in It's a Fashionable Life! And with a plus: you also get a post by Cate every Saturday!!!

To all of you that have read this blog, thank you. It means the world to me.
And I hope you'll go over to It's a Fashionable Life and keep on reading my posts!!
If not, still, thank you very much.

So this is in no way a goodbye!! I'm only changing homes ;)

It's time to start a new journey. And in order to that, I have to leave some things behind. But I won't leave you guys!! Or the beautiful memories I've received from writing in this blog for so long.

Thank you all. I love you <3

And before I go, here's a song that's perfect for this moment:

OK, I'll finish this post now :)

See you at It's a Fashionable Life!!

Color Yourself: Old But Gold!!

Hey hey hey!!

I haven't done one of my Color Yourself posts in a while, and I've been noticing this crazy trend that's taking over the fashion world, mostly when it comes to accessories and details: GOLD!!

Yes, that's right!! I see gold everywhere!! It's an plague!!!

So today I thought I'd show you some of my favorite fashion/beauty items that feature the most expensive of colors: Gold!

Clothes

If you don't like to go all out, this shirt is a great option!! It's simple enough, and the gold gives it more edge!

Chic yet casual! Those are the words to describe this piece! Baggy, but super sophisticated!

For special occasion, this skirt is a great option!! The design is simple, but the gold just takes it to another level!

If you're more into the bodycon style, this skirt is perfect! I love the asymmetric touch!!

This jacket is sick!!! I'm so in love!! I might get it for myself...

If you have an important even, try this dress! It's gorgeous, isn't it?!?

Shoes

For the everyday life, these oxfords with a gold toe-cap are a good way to stay in trend while looking casual!

If you're more into sneakers, try these with the gold accents!! The "shoelaces" are a gold chain!!!

Is it hot where you live?? Then these sandals are great!! And they're brown, for a change!!!

Party time? Put these bad boys into action!! Love love love!!!!!

Accessories

Tribal inspired statement necklaces have been taking over everyone's necks lately!! Why not try this one??

The most ADORABLE earring I've ever seen!! Guys... it's an Unicorn!!!!!!

I love headpieces like this!! Even a messy bun looks chic with one on!! I really like the leaves on this one.
So so so pretty!

This bracelet is so precious!! I love accessories with wings. They're just so cute!!!!!!

Black white and gold!! This bag is the union of all the biggest color trends right now. Perfect!!

Makeup

I've fallen in love with an eyeshadow pallet! The colors are all beautiful and the gold eyeshadow is super vibrant! Totally need it!

Gold eyeliner is a great way to amp up your eye makeup! For a subtle touch, add it on your inner corner. If you wanna go all out, do a winged liner with it!!

Use a gold highlighter for a fresh, bright and slightly tanned complexion!! Awesome!!

Well, that was it for today's Color Yourself!!
Hope you enjoyed!!

What's your favorite gold item!!

Top 5 Staple Makeup Products!

Hey you!!

Well, Christmas has passed by, and that usually means that we got some money as a stocking stuffer (am I right?).

Which means this is a great time to stock up on our staple products!! At least that's what I do!!
Am I the only one?? Hopefully not...

So I decided to make this post because some of you may be new to makeup and need some tips on what products to get, or you can just be curious about my most basic products!!

So here they are:

1. MAC Select Cover-Up

The first thing I think everyone should have is a good concealer! There are times when I leave my house with nothing else but concealer under my eyes (when I'm just running errands near my house, per example). It instantly changes your face, it makes you look less tired and dull.
Even if you're not the makeup type, applying a bit of concealer on dark circles and blemishes will completely change your look, make you look healthier and it only takes 2 minutes!
As this is the most basic product for me, it's a product I like to invest in. And to me, MAC's Select Cover-Up is the best one I've tried, so I don't mind splurging a bit.
If you want a cheaper option, Mayblline's DreamLumi Touch is pretty good!

2. Maybelline - One by One

This is my second most basic product! Mascara makes your eyes pop and makes you seem more awake in no time! It's so simple, yet makes such a difference!
My favorites are Maybelline's One by One and The Rocket! To be honest, Maybelline has the best mascaras! They not expensive at all, and they're so good! No need to spend a lot of money for quality! Perfection!!!!

3. Essence - Eyebrow Stylist Set

Yep, that's right! I'll be fully honest with you, a year ago I did not care for eyebrows at all!! Like, AT ALL!
But I heard sooo many people say it was such a huge deal, I decided to see it for myself! So I got this Eyebrow Stylist Set from Essence and started playing around with it! My first times... not good! But I got the hang of it and now I'll almost never leave my house without my brow game on!!

4. Maybelline - Baby Lips

You gotta have something for your lips! And since it's a basic, I feel like something very moisturizing and with some color would be the right choice!
So I feel like Maybelline's Baby Lips are a really good staple to have on you makeup collection! They're pretty inexpensive, and really good! My favorite one's are Cherry Me and Peach Kiss.

5. Essence - Vampire's Love Blush Gelee

First of all, I wanna say I'm super sorry cause I know this is a limited edition product that you probably won't be able to get anymore!
Knowing that, I chose this product because of the simple fact that I do use it almost every single day!
The product is super easy to apply (just rub a bit on two fingers and apply with patting motions on the apple's of your cheeks) and it gives you the slightest, most soft blush look! I love it!
If you can find a dupe for this Essence Blush Gelee, pleeeeeease let me know! I won't know what to do when mine ends!!

Ok guys, I hope you enjoyed this post!!

What's the one makeup product you can't live without?

New Years Eve Outfits!

Hey guys!!

It's New Year's Eve!!!!!

I can't believe another year has passed by... So many things happened in 2014! And I'm sure 2015 will be even better!!

And to welcome the new year, I decided to show you some ideas for outfits to celebrate in:

Just because you'll be celebrating in your house, in no way it means you have to look full on slouchy!!
Leggings are a comfy option, and if they're faux leather it'll add a really cool edgy vibe, and paired with a nice warm sweater it'll look great and still be very cozy!! Since you're at home, some cute fuzzy socks and slippers are a must!! And for accessories, since you just in your house you don't really need them, but a good watch is always a nice idea!! And why not change your phone case? It's a fashion accessory after all!!!

If you're going a family gathering or some place where you want to look specially good, but not go over the top, this look is for you!! A nice velvet skirt will immediately make you look chic! And since it's such a bold piece, I toned down the other items: a simple black long sleeved shirt, a black faux leather vest for some edge, booties and simple accessories. To finish of, some red lips and red bag will tie it all together!!
(Btw, I didn't add it in the picture, but some black tights are a must if it's cold where you live!)

For my full on 1000 bucks outfit idea, I chose this super adorable dress!! It's pink and feminine, yet the top has a faux leather material which give it some edge!! Then, the tights add a very much needed pattern to the look, and the shoes maintain the chic factor. For some warmth, I chose a really stylish and elegant coat that I feel like complement the outfit really well! The heart necklace adds to the femininity of the look, and the bold dragon earring adds to the edge (I love to mix!!). I would go for some smokey eyes and nude pink lips when it comes to the makeup, because I feel like it would finish the entire look very well.

I made this Set's on Polyvore, so you can go to my account to see where the items are from!!

Well guys, that was it for this post!

Btw, if you still want more, check It's a Fashionable Life! I made a post there about New Year's staple products that will make your night much easier!!

Today's question is: what are you wearing today? And what are you doing?
Tell me in the comments!!

I hope you have a blast and that 2015 brings you and your loved ones lots of love and good moments!
Thank you guys for coming back to my blog every week! I love you <3

Styling (not so) Ugly Christmas Sweaters!!

Hello everyone!

IT'S CHRISTMAS!!! (I love Christmas... can't you tell?!?)

And with Christmas comes... yep, you guessed it! Ugly Christmas Sweaters!!!! (And no, I don't believe you don't have you, so don't even try).

On my new blog that I made with my friend Cate, It's a Fashionable Life, I made a post about Ugly Christmas Sweaters that aren't actually... well, ugly!!

So here, I decided to make a post styling those sweaters I mentioned in that post!! So if you want to know where those sweaters are from, check It's a Fashionable Life!!

Now, let's get this post started!!

For this first outfit, I decided to style the sweater with a nice red skater skirt and some black knee high socks. The boots add that edgy touch and the jacket finished the entire look off, giving it a chic feel.

For this second look, I wanted to have the sweater be the main point of the outfit. The shirt would look great underneath the sweater, just showing the collar. The jeans keep the look clean and the shoes add the perfect sexy touch. The bag matched the pink on sweater perfectly, and the bow would be great to complete a half up half down hair look. This is a great choice for a family Christmas!

This outfit is much more casual, but it's still very holiday appropriate! The red jeans scream Christmas, the boots give you that extra height and the jacket adds to the casual feel. Red lips are a must for the season, and a nice bracelet is the perfect accessory!

Again I wanted to make the quirky sweater the center! So I went for neutral colors: the black faux leather pants, the nude pumps, the black ans gold earring and the pinky nude lips! It's simple yet very stylish!

Christmas epiphany!!!! Green pants, awesome sweater with some red, and those nails!!! To finish the look and give it more of a fashion forward feel, I added the gold bangles, the heeled booties and the structured faux leather jacket.

This last outfit is great for a friend's Xmas gathering!! It's edgy, fun and fashionable, yet super christmasy! The sweater is crazy festive, so the rest of the outfit is just focused on the fashion side. The pants are amazing (I need to get my hands on those...), the boots are super edgy, the scarf adds a casual sense, and the bag is oh so chic! To finish the look off, a warm toned eye look will to the trick!

Ok guys I hope you enjoyed this post!!

Again, for more info on the sweaters check this post on It's a Fashionable Life, and for the rest of the items check this Polyvore collection where I featured all the outfits!!

Product Review!!!!

Hey everyone!!

So today I have a review on the Wet 'n Wild Eyeshadow Trio in Silent Treatment.

Packaging:

Simple and functional, it isn't specially beautiful or cute or anything, but it's practical and easy to carry around! Pretty most other drugstore products of this kind.

I'll give it an 7 out of 10.

Pigmentation:

The eyeshadows are very pigmented, you don't have to apply tons to see an evident color. It's very opaque and true to what you think it'll be when you see it in the package.

I'll give it a 10 out of 10!!

Lasting power:

The shadows have a good lasting power, even though it's not amazing. But if you use a nice primer before they might last you almost all day.

I'll give it a 6 out of 10.

Price vs Quality:

The product is very good quality, and it's crazy affordable!

I'll give it a 10 out of 10!

Final Review:

I really love this product! They eyeshadows are beautiful, very very pigmented and last long enough, mostly if you use eye primer.
Plus, it's so cheap! You get a great product for a very low price.
I really recommend this product!

My final review is 8 out of 10, the product is really good but the packaging isn't anything special, even though it does it's job well, and the lasting power isn't brilliant.
Still, great product.

Ok guys, I hope you enjoyed this post!!

Have you ever tried the Wet 'n Wild trios? What do you think?

NEW BLOG: It's A Fashionable Life

Hey guys!!

So yeah, you read that title right!! I have a new blog!! WHAAAT??
I know I know... I already have 3, now I have one more, I'm a maniac, I know...

But guess what?? I love them all and I never get tired of it!!

So the new blog is called It's a Fashionable Life, and it's not only mine! Me and my BFF Cate came together to create this blog, that's not only going to be about fashion, beauty and style, but also about food (recipes, recommendations, etc.), decor, and simply all things lifestyle!

I know what you are thinking: since the blog will have many many posts about fashion and beauty, am I leaving this blog?

The answer is NO!!

The fashion world is so vast, I'm pretty sure I'll find stuff to write about on both blogs!! So yeah, Beauty and Fashion with Ella is going to keep going! The only change is that now it has a little brother... It's A Fashionable Life!!

I'll always have different posts on each one, so you'll never read repeated posts, I'll say that!!

To clarify it all a bit more, here's the video I made about it:

Well guys, that's it!

I really hope you give me, Cate and It's A Fashionable Life lots of love, and that you keep giving love to Beauty and Fashion with Ella as well!

Thank you so much for your support!! I adore you guys!!

Top 5 Best Dark Lip Products

Hey hey hey!!

Guys... it's Fall!! One of my favorite seasons (along with Spring)!!! And you know what that means??
Brown and gold leaves, fuzzy socks, warm sweaters, hot tea, good books and... bolder makeup!!

Personally, Fall makeup is my favorite!! The golden smokey eyes, the dusty pink and plum blushes, and, of course, the dark lips!!

I'm a huge fan of bold dark lips, and to be fully honest, I wear them all year!! (yes, Summer too... call me crazy!)
I love that almost goth like look! It's so me!

So today I have here my top 5 best dark lip products list (including lipsticks and a lip liner!).

1. GOSH's Lip Liner in Wild Cherry

Definitely my favorite!! This color is super dark, super matte, and it won't come off for anything, even if you eat or drink!
It's super super bold, so if you're not very used to dark lips, this might not be the best one to start with, because it's a huge difference!
But if you're already into them and you wanna dare and be even bolder, this is the one for you!

2. Makeup Revolution's Lipstick in 100% Vamp

Crazy bold and crazy dark! I love dark plums, they're my 1st choice of lipsticks! And this is the darkest one I own.
It's very smooth and, unlike most dark colors, it's super glossy and it has that sexy wet effect to it!
If you love super bold and glossy lips, try this one!
Oh, did I say it's super cheap?? Added bonus!!

3. AVON's  Color Trend Lipstick in Deluxe

This lipstick is perfect for anyone! And I mean ANYONE!!
Why? Because it gives you a very soft yet dark color if you just pat it on smoothly, or it can give you a super bold and dark color if you build it up!
It's great for beginners, since you can slowly make it stronger, leaving less space for mistakes!
It's also great for practical girls, since it's easy and quick to apply!

4. H&M's Lipstick in Purple Rain (Dark Purple)

This lipstick is just delightful! The color is so strong and amazing! It's a true purple! It is crazy daring and very bold, so you will turn heads... But who cares right? It's AWESOME!!!!
The color payoff is brilliant, the formula is easy to apply and it's very very matte.
Who knew H&M did such great lipsticks?

5. Catrice's Revoltaire Lipstick in Bloody Red

The only bad things about this lipstick is that it was limited edition... Which makes me feel kind of bad for putting it here!
But I had to! I wear this so much and I adore it, so it just deserved to be mentioned!
The color is a beautiful matte dark red and the pigmentation is great!
It can also be used softly, or be built up into a bolder color.
I love red lipsticks, and I have a good amount of them (I won't say how many cause it's almost embarrassing...), but this one is by far my favorite.
(btw, I heard that Illamasqua's Box lipstick is a pretty good dupe for it!)

Here are the swatches for all 5 products:

Well guys, I hope you enjoyed this post and that it inspired you to try on some darker shades this fall (if you haven't yet).

Outfit Of The Day

Hey guys!!

So today I thought I would do something I actually don't think I've done before, and show you my outfit of the day!!

Today I have a interview, so I wanted to look put together and proper, but still have my own twist on things.

My blouse (which is the focus point of this look) is from Primark, and I have to say I'm crazy obsessed with this blouse!! I love the collar, and the color block, and the material, and... everything!!

My pants are from New Yorker.
They're my favorite pants ever!! I love that they're black (which looks good with anything and everything! Plus you might have already realized... I like black A LOT), they are super comfortable and they fit me perfectly!

My shoes are also from Primark, and they are pretty much my version of a proper nice shoe!
Usually you'd wear heels or maybe some ballet flats to a job interview, but since I will have to walk quite a bit and ballet flats really don't suit me, I decided to add my own twist on things and go for these creepers!
They're still classy looking and pretty basic, mostly because they are all black, but they give a much more modern and trendy vibe, and may a say a bit of a punk/grunge/goth vibe, which I LOVE!!!

So yeah guys, that's my look for today!

Did you like it?
Would you wear it?
What would you change?
What are you wearing today??

Top 5 Favorite Fall Makeup Products!

Hey guys!

So today I'm coming to you with my top 5 favorites Fall products, because, as you might already know, I LOVE FALL!!

So I'll probably do as many Fall related posts as I can!!
Hope you don't hate me for that...

Anyway, let's get into the list!!

1. Catrice Photo Finish Liquid Foundation

I don't know about you, but I always tend to wear more "foundationy" type products when the cool weather comes in!  And lately, this foundation as been my BFF!!
It's been a pretty stressful month for me, which my face sweetly decided to express by presenting me with a couple of unwanted little invaders...
So just concealer wasn´t enough!
Thankfully I had this magic bottle with me!!
The coverage is great and the texture is smooth enough to apply without much effort (but sometimes I do mix it with moisturizer, mostly when I'm late, so it's even easier to apply).

2. Essence LongLasting Eye Pencil in Berry Merry

Ok, so maybe I have a bit of an obsession with dark plums and purples...
Very well, I'll admit, it's a pretty big obsession!
I mean come on! The color is so amazingly beautiful! Just colorful yet dark enough! It's awesome!
And these eye pencil are honestly my favorites! The pigmentation is brilliant, all the colors are great and the price is pretty pocket friendly!

3. Avon True Colour Blush in Russet

For Fall, I like more natural and soft cheeks. Nothing too bright, just a smooth subtle color too add that finishing touch to a perfect makeup look!

4. Essence Hello Autumn collection Lip Cream in Beauti-FALL red

This product is simply AMAZING! And yes, I had to Caps Lock that!
The texture of this lip product is perfect, super smooth and soft, moisturizing, pigmented and glossy!
The color is definitely beauti-FALL! It's the perfect shade of red!
I'm in LOVE!!

5. MAC lipstick in Rebel

And I present to you, my favorite lipstick of all times! (and yes, back to that dark plum purple obsession I mentioned before... upsi!)
Thank you so much Skye Sweetnam for mentioning it in a video 4ever ago! It changed my life!! (too much? maybe... but who cares!!)
The color of this lipstick is simple perfection! It's a dark berry pinky redish color... It's too hard to explain or even try to guess from the photo, you HAVE to try it for yourself to understand!
Being a satin finish lipstick, it's matt yet not drying, which is pretty much the best match!
And once you've got in on your lips, it won't budge until you say so!

Ok guys, so those were my 5 favorite products for this beautiful season!
I hope you enjoyed!

And tell me on the comment what are YOUR favorite Fall products!! I would love to know!

Thanks for tuning in!!

Hearts Hugs and Kisses

With love,
Ella<3
